Friday Afternoon Date

I have been missing being able to play my instruments. It was getting to the point where I was daydreaming about it. So, my sweetheart and I decided to meet up on FaceTime and pick out some songs! He always knows how to make my day :)
Here we are! We sang and used some guitar with ukelele. It was a nice break. (Except he forced me to play an acoustic version of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball"... which was actually awesome)

Block Exams

We had Immunology and Biochemistry block exams of Friday. Then we had the weekend to prepare for Medicinal Chem and Therapeutics exams on Monday. So how did we decided to relax and celebrate on Friday night (...and yes, we had this planned out for over a week)

Yup. That large platter of chicken nuggets was 1/2 price for the month of September at our Chick Fil A down the street. We were pretty excited about it. 200 nuggets! That was every meal of ours this past weekend - and half of it is still gracing our freezer.

Just Another Night

Nashville was pretty gloomy today. A LOT of rain this afternoon (made for a crazy commute).

Marina and I made taco salad for dinner, and wanted to take a picture of our festive table. So here that is.

And here I am talking to my lovebird!!! He's so cute (except the second picture makes us both look a little derpy)

Tomorrow's Friday!!! (A week until block exams...)

23rd Birthday!

So Saturday, it was birthday celebrating time! I was so fortunate to have Marina, Elyse, Hanna, and Hanna's husband Patrick to go out with me and celebrate. First we went to a little Italian Lights Festival in town, and then we celebrated on South 12th street in Nashville. We ate awesome food at Mafiaoza's and had some drinks. It was a great time, and then went back to Hanna's to hang out until around 1:15. Great night! A sweet way to ring in the big 2-3.

Saturday started with Marina and I eating breakfast, and us having a knock on our front door. It was a delivery guy that had dropped off some beautiful roses from, none other than, Bryce. Such a sweet surprise!

I woke up on Sunday, my actual birthday, and laid in bed until around 9:30.  I saw this on Google, which was kind of cool!

Marina and I text each other from the next room if we're too tired to get up. (Doesn't everyone do that?) Anyways, she texted me to come out of my room and she had such a beautiful gift for me!! So SO  sweet of her.

Then I got ready and went to church. Hadn't been to the late service here yet, but it was so good to get to sleep in and then worship on my birthday! Then I went and got a haircut (which, I hadn't done in over a year...like, seriously. It had been a long time).

Then I made a quick trip to the store on my way home from Franklin. I got home and Hanna was over to study for our test the next day! And sweet Marina had made a meal for us (seriously - roommate of the year, am I right??)

...oh, and bought me a cake and candles!!!!!

I'm so grateful I had such sweet people to spend my day with.
My cup runneth over!

That night, I opened a few gifts from mine and Bryce's parents. Check out this card from The Hubenaks... I'm pretty sure I was crying/laughing from my excitement. It was like San Antonio in an envelope, and it sings Tejano music when you open it!!!

I miss Bryce everyday. For now, on this Monday night, I get to see this from him right before I go to sleep. Look how beautifully they're opening up!

Year 23 starts now! It's been an awesome and humbling journey so far.

Skydiving

Yeah, this happened. I didn't tell my parents until after because I'm the best daughter ever. Bryce, Shannon, and people in my class knew. I went with a girl from class, Janella, to Chattanooga last Saturday, and proceeded to jump out of an airplane. I felt compelled to do it, I had the opportunity, and now I never have to do it again. Veni vidi vici!

It was a sunset jump. Amazing. Seriously though, that's for crazy people.

I love school!!!

We may be tired, but we actually look forward to going to school everyday.

White Coat Ceremony

So, I have the best dad and best boyfriend. They drove 16 hours just to come visit and attend my White Coat Ceremony. It was a fun weekend with them, and Marina's family. We all had the best time visiting and getting to know each other.

My guys - look how handsome. I'm the luckiest!

This is my face.

Marina's mom and brother, Alen. Oh they're too funny.
