I picked him up, and took him by the school. He got to meet a few people and look around some. Then we went for a late lunch to Loveless Cafe, and then went to Centennial Park to meet Marcus Johns. That night, we went back to my apartment and talked and talked. We saw Marina when she got home from work and then we all went to sleep.
Saturday, we woke up and had eggs with our chicken fried steak leftovers. Then Bryce and I got ready for the day and went to the mall to look for a tie for Breanna and Steven's wedding in November (also we looked around for a coat, for me). We spent the afternoon in Franklin window shopping, getting pumpkin pie frozen yogurt from Sweet Cici's, and then went up to the Vanderbilt area to have appetizers at Mellow Mushroom with a church friend from San Antonio. After we left, we grabbed a late dinner, went back to the apartment and saw Marina's family (who was also visiting), and then watched A Few Good Men, just like old times (I'm pretty sure we have the movie memorized).
I was hard to say goodbye, but comforting to know that we won't have to go as long without seeing each other this time. I'll also have my second block of exams to focus on before that, and he'll have school and work.
The weekend flew by. I've missed my best friend so much.
I love and miss you more everyday, Bryce. You have my heart with you.
Together at last!
This store in Franklin had a man cave corner set up with chairs, ESPN, and snacks.
Food pictures!!!: Kosmic Karma from Mellow Mushroom, nuggets from Chick Fil A (to accompany our movie night), and chocolate croissants (Bryce's fave)
After Bryce and Marina's family left... I tried cow tongue that Marina's Russian grandmother left here. And Marina was a basket case, sitting on the floor not knowing what to do with herself. We need supervision.
